I completed 40 hours of marketing experience for my FMRK 2240 class at Hill’s of Kerrisdale. A Vancouver-based luxury retail store with a rich family history since 1914, now owned by brother and sister, Ross and Nancy Hill, carrying the business legacy of three generations.

After I was hired a position was created for me to complete the product transferred packages for each of the Lady wear locations. I have continued my employment with them for over a year now and interned for 6 weeks as a Visual Merchandiser during the summer. My knowledge and awareness of the store product, the floor layout and back stock products allowed me to communicate with the District Visual Merchandiser, Savaya, about large product transferred leaving the floor. These interactions showed a highly valuable person in the company my skills and work ethic which ended up helping me gain credibility when asked to complete my internship.
